Geoscience helps us seek balance between acceptable living standards & environmental preservation. Our existence is dependent on our ability to understand, utilize, manage and maintain the environment we live in - Geoscience (Geology) is the science that seeks to achieve these goals.  As the population continues to grow, we must learn to manage our resources effectively and our environment wisely. The Geosciences will inevitably play an increasingly important role in this process.

What can you do with a geoscience degree? As you will see, the possibilities are rich and varied! The unique interdisplinary education you will receive allows you to enter careers in the "core geoscience fields" (click here for more info.) or go into a variety of different, yet related fields (click here for more info.).  In addition, our program prepares you well for graduate school.
