Larry Augustin
Larry Augustin recently gave the inaugural address in the Distinguished Engineering Lecture Series entitled "The Future of Software Development and the Internet." Mr. Augustin is President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of VA Linux Systems. The company was founded in 1993 by Augustin and has greater revenues than all other pure linux companies combined. Augustin is a 1984 graduate of Notre Dame's electrical engineering department.

Michael Bax
Network Access Solutions Corporation announced on May 16, 2000 that Michael Bax would be the new vice president of marketing. Prior to NAS, Bax worked as European marketing director for Tellabs Operations, Inc. He graduated from Notre Dame with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering.

William C. Hurd
Hurd gave the eight annual Emil T. Hofman Lecture, "A Bird's Eye View of Opthalmology: From Memphis to Madagascar," on September 16, 2000. He is currently in private practice as an opthamologist and specializes in cataract surgery, radial keratomy and corneal transplants. He holds two patents and was awarded Notre Dame's Harvey Foster Award in 1992 and the NCAA Silver Anniversary Award in 1994. He graduated cum laude as an electrical engineering graduate in 1969.

Robert Manning
Electric City Corp announced on May 16, 2000 the appointment of Robert Manning to the board of directors. Manning worked for Unicom/ComEd Corporation for over 35 years. Mr. Manning recieved a degree in Electrical Engineering for Notre Dame.

Michael Simon
Uproar founder Michel Simon became Head International Operations for Uproar on May 18, 2000. Simon is now in charge of Uproar's relationships outside of North America. Simon recieved a B.S. from Notre Dame Electrical Engineering.

Tim Sullivan
Vianet Technologies announced on May 10, 2000 that Tim Sullivan accepted a nomination to the company's board of directors. Sullivan has held leadership positions withConnectware, inc., Nortel, IBM. Sullivan recieved a B.S. in E.E. from the Universoty of Norte Dame.
