Sites
Rast and Schaub conducted a survey in 1973 and identified several Early Bronze Age sites in addition to the well known site of Bab edh-Dhra'. Numeira was recognized as an Early Bronze Age settlement site and Early Bronze age cemeteries were located at Safi/Naqa and Feifa. Walled towns at Feifa and Khanzair were tentatively attributed to the Early Bronze Age but have since been dated to the Iron age. A separate cemetery site was located by Burton Macdonald at Khirbet Khanazir in 1986. From 1975 through 1983 the EDSP conducted excavations at Bab edh-Dhra' (settlement and cemetery) and Numeira and in 1989-90 at  Feifa (cemetery and settlement) and Kh. Khanazir.
