Multimedia First Year CompositionAcademic Information:
I was born in Oakland, CA and moved to Needham, MA at the age of thirteen. I went to Needham High School and am currently a first year student at the University of Notre Dame. This portfolio shows my work from the semester of Multimedia First Year Composition. "This I Believe" is an essay based on the NPR series started by Edward Murrow in the 1950's. In mine I express my belief in showing up. My Fresh Writing paper, entitled "Real Fake News: The Daily Show and New Journalism," is about The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and its role in today's media coverage of news and politics. I was lucky enough to land a beneficial interview with Jeff Kreisler, a political comedian and author who has interviewed to write for The Daily Show. So here it is, the semester's final product.
