Indiana House Democrat Caucus Internship Program provides opportunities for
college students and recent graduates in nearly any subject, not just political science,
to experience a legislative session at the Statehouse in Indianapolis. The program
is open to individuals who will be college juniors or seniors, graduate students or
graduates in January, 2000. The legislative session Internship runs from early January
through May. Participants may make appropriate arrangements to earn
academic credit for their participation. Interns are paid a stipend of $250 weekly
and will be eligible for a $2,500 cash scholarship from GTE, to be awarded to
the most outstanding Indiana House Democrat Intern. For more information contact

The Pamela Harriman Foreign Service Fellowship Program

Sponsored by the College of William and Mary in association with the United States Department of State. Fellowships
provide a summer internship opportunity at three points of service: the United States Embassy in Paris; the United Sates
Embassy in London; the Office of the Secretary of State in Washington, D.C. The initial class of Harriman Fellows will
be named next spring for service in summer 2000. Candidate will begin the Harriman application process by first applying
to the State Department Summer Intern Program in Fall, 1999. Nomination by the candidate's college or university is
required. Each of the three students selected as a Harriman Fellow will be provided with a $5,000 award.
