The Clark lab works on the process of protein folding in the cellular environment, including the co-translational folding of polypeptide chains during synthesis by the ribosome, the folding of virulence factors after secretion from pathogenic bacteria, and the re-engineering of structural scaffolds for biotechnological applications.
