Emily Merkler, President
Emily is a Double Domer, having completed her undergraduate degree in engineering at Notre Dame. She is a member of the Journal of College and University Law at ND Law and will be a summer associate at Jones Day in 2006.

Jessie Tannenbaum, Board Member
Jessie is a third-year student who has been active in anti-death penalty campaigns since high school. She received her B.A. in International Studies from the University of Denver in 2003. At ND Law, Jessie also participates in the Immigration Clinic and is President of the Women's Legal Forum. She also was an extern with the St. Joseph County Public Defender. She has been accepted to Notre Dame's L.L.M. program in International Human Rights and plans a career in human rights law.

Kate Leahy, Board Member
Kate is a third-year student and former president of the CADP. She graduated from Loyola College of Maryland in 2002. Prior to law school, she spent a year in the Jesuit Volunteer Corps working with Murder Victims Families for Reconciliation. At ND Law, Kate participates in the Immigration Clinic and is an Assistant Rector in Cavanaugh Hall. She has been accepted a position in the Department of Justice Honors Program and plans a career in immigration law.

Professor Jay Tidmarsh, Faculty Advisor
Professor Tidmarsh, an expert in complex civil litigation, joined the faculty of the Notre Dame Law School in 1989 as an associate professor of law. He has also served as a Visiting Professor of Law at Harvard Law School and Michigan Law School. He earned his A.B. from Notre Dame in 1979 and his J.D. from Harvard in 1982. A member of the Wisconsin Bar since 1982, he practiced law as a trial attorney with the Torts Division of the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., from 1982 to 1989. His areas of academic interest include civil procedure, complex civil litigation, federal courts, civil rights, remedies, and torts. He teaches Civil Procedure and Constitutional Law II, and is noted for his passion for neckties as well as his passion for teaching.
