Research Interests
I am interested in the landscape genetics and behavior of Balinese long-tailed macaques (Macaca fascicularis). I plan to focus on the dispersal behavior of males, how it affects the scales of genetic differentiation and how it is affected by landscape change throughout the island Bali. I hope to assess the impacts, both negative and positive, of increasing ecotourism on the macaques and their interactions with humans, which hopefully will contribute to improved conservation and management strategies.
